We are proud to be part of a great Canadian tradition – Canada’s #1 selling sports DVD !
Last years NHL Finals between the San Jose Sharks and Pittsburgh Penguins inspired Don to shoot HNIC segments in the mouth of the shark! And our buddy Jamie Baker, the colour commentator of the Sharks tv broadcasts sent us a link to one of the best mic’d up videos out there (The Best of Mic’d up San Jose Sharks ).
As you may know, Jamie was the #13 SJS hero for scoring the series-winning goal for the San Jose Sharks in the seventh game of the 1994 Western Conference Quarterfinals against the heavily favored Detroit Red Wings. He put us on to the great San Jose Sharks video production group headed by Dustin Lamendola. Check out their video on YouTube And then get out there and buy this years Rockem Sockem 28 !
Once again we are proud to be associated with Don Cherry and Tim Cherry, and to be the producers of Rock’em Sock’em for TPC Productions.
This years “Don Cherry Rock’em Sock’em 27” features the Mattamy Athletic Center…the refurbished version of the old Maple Leaf Gardens
Throughout RS27 Don offers up some of his best memories and anecdotes from his experiences at the historic building located at the northwest corner of Carlton Street and Church Street in Toronto.
Blomeley Communication is proud to produce Rockem Sockem for TPC Productions. It’s still Canada’s #1 Sports DVD!

Considered one of the “cathedrals” of hockey, Maple Leaf Gardens was home to the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League from 1931 to 1999. The Leafs won the Stanley Cup 11 times from 1932 to 1967 while playing at the Gardens. The Leafs moved to the Air Canada Center in 1999. Their first home game at the ACC took place on February 20, 1999, versus the Montreal Canadiens.

The Mattamy Athletic Centre features an NHL sized rink on the third floor of the facility, a second level multi-purpose court, a fourth level lounge overlooking the ice, and a third level lounge overlooking the court. Additionally, we offer several multipurpose meeting rooms, a state of the art fitness centre on our second level with an ajoining cafe, and fourth level concourse space. The facility is shared by Ryerson University, and the bottom floor is a state-of-the-art Loblaws store with a large fresh and take-out food offering. As a recognized Ontario Heritage Site, Mattamy Athletic Centre has transformed into an impressively advanced athletic facility while preserving the treasures of its past; A winning combination of cherished history, and cutting edge innovation.
Rock’em Sock’em Executive Producer Tim Cherry thought that RS25 should be shot at the ‘CanLan Ice Sports Etobicoke’ hockey facility. This is the location where Tim, a professional hockey scout, and his dad Don Cherry, watched some of Canada’s future NHL stars play as youngsters. These same stars have appeared in numerous Rockem Sockem shows throughout the years….stars like Steve Stamkos and John Traveres just to name a couple.
As always it is a pleasure to work with the great and personable Don Cherry. For us, this week was exceptional as the Blomeley crew ‘hung out’ with Don and his family, and recorded Rock’em Sock’em intros and bridges along with a number of personal congratulatory messages and PSAs.
Special thanks to Dave and his crew at the CanLan Etobicoke ice pad.
