Considered one of the “cathedrals” of hockey, Maple Leaf Gardens was home to the Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League from 1931 to 1999. The Leafs won the Stanley Cup 11 times from 1932 to 1967 while playing at the Gardens. The Leafs moved to the Air Canada Center in 1999. Their first home game at the ACC took place on February 20, 1999, versus the Montreal Canadiens.

The Mattamy Athletic Centre features an NHL sized rink on the third floor of the facility, a second level multi-purpose court, a fourth level lounge overlooking the ice, and a third level lounge overlooking the court. Additionally, we offer several multipurpose meeting rooms, a state of the art fitness centre on our second level with an ajoining cafe, and fourth level concourse space. The facility is shared by Ryerson University, and the bottom floor is a state-of-the-art Loblaws store with a large fresh and take-out food offering. As a recognized Ontario Heritage Site, Mattamy Athletic Centre has transformed into an impressively advanced athletic facility while preserving the treasures of its past; A winning combination of cherished history, and cutting edge innovation.
