Over the past year or so we have produced various shows and video elements for the Library of Parliament, ‘en français et en anglais’. Much of the content has been for the Library’s ‘Youth Connection’ YouTube Channel and website which has ingeniously incorporated web, video, social media, and mobile apps etc. It is an excellent resource for anyone (not just youth) who want to know more about the Canadian Parliamentary System and Parliament Hill.
One of our most recent shows is a promo for another valuable Library of Parliament Education Program, “Teachers Institute Week”…

As we posted previously in our January blog…
We just spent a week with a group of teachers from across the country who were participating in the Library of Parliament’s “Teachers Institute Week”. TI Week is a unique professional development opportunity for teachers of governance and citizenship education. They get to see firsthand how Parliament works and much more. The teachers met and interacted with MPs, Senators, the House and Senate Speakers, Clerks, and even the Media who cover the affairs of Parliament.
From our outside looking in position, TI Week is a very worthwhile endeavour. An amazing trickle down education process that will benefit thousands of students who someday will be voters and possibly decision makers in their communities.
