April 12, 2012 Toronto – The televsion series NHL Pioneers will soon be seen worldwide on mobile devices, direct-to-user internet apps, and even on interactive e-books. Produced by Blomeley TransMedia and the NHL Alumni (Pioneers Production Partnership), ‘Pioneers’ chronicles contemporary history through intimate interviews with some of the greatest athletes of their time.
Originally produced exclusively for the NHL Network (US & Canada), Season One presented former NHL trailblazers such as Bobby Hull, Jean Beliveau, Ted Lindsay, Gordie Howe, and the 91 year old Bruins legend Milt Schmidt who revealed historical moments seen through their eyes and experiences. Season Two is a multi-platform digital media franchise with international reach and interviews with european greats such as Borje Salming and the Stastny brothers. The ‘Entertainer’ Eddie Shack is also featured.
With over 39 half hour shows in production and mobile, internet, and e-book apps in development, hockey fans and history buffs will soon have on-demand access to some of the most significant hockey archival material available.
