With many of our shows in production and development, TIFF has become a regular and busy event. Getting around downtown Toronto to meetings or to the studio during TIFF can be a challenge. But you have to admit that we all get a lot of work out it. So two thumbs up.

Last years NHL Finals between the San Jose Sharks and Pittsburgh Penguins inspired Don to shoot HNIC segments in the mouth of the shark! And our buddy Jamie Baker, the colour commentator of the Sharks tv broadcasts sent us a link to one of the best mic’d up videos out there (The Best of Mic’d up San Jose Sharks ).
As you may know, Jamie was the #13 SJS hero for scoring the series-winning goal for the San Jose Sharks in the seventh game of the 1994 Western Conference Quarterfinals against the heavily favored Detroit Red Wings. He put us on to the great San Jose Sharks video production group headed by Dustin Lamendola. Check out their video on YouTube And then get out there and buy this years Rockem Sockem 28 !
Once again we are proud to be associated with Don Cherry and Tim Cherry, and to be the producers of Rock’em Sock’em for TPC Productions.
In October, we enjoyed the good fortune of being called upon by Polytechnics Canada CEO Nobina Robinson and her tremendous staff, to produce and package promotional content that would be presented at a major event to be held at the prestigious Rideau Club.
The special guest and keynote speaker was The Hon. Bardish Chagger, Minister of Small Business and Tourism and Government House Leader.
The Polytechnics Canada guests for the November 15th event included the Board of Directors, Presidents of Canada’s largest polytechnics and colleges, along with a select group of their employer partners, students and recent graduates. It was an excellent important event with outstanding presenters. And a pretty good video too… Thanks to the tremendous work performed by the participating member schools from across the country.
The production task was to compile nationally produced videos featuring significant student/private partnership projects from eleven member schools. The deliverables were a short promotional video that would be distributed on multiple-platforms, and a hour long show that presented the individual projects in detail showing off the high quality work being done by Canada’s leading polytechnic schools.

Sarah Argue is the driving force behind one of Canada’s premiere puppet company’s, ‘Rock The Arts’ and ‘Creatureville’. She has just been nominated for ‘Faces Magazine’ Artist of the Year. We predict more awards are in the future! 🙂
It was a real treat and change of venue for our crew to get behind the scenes and work with Sarah and ‘Ned’ her main puppet character. Ned was extremely cooperative and professional while we shot the on-camera components for the animated bumpers we produced for the new upcoming Rock The Arts music videos ! Thanks goes out to our friend Jon Lebrun from Brown Sound for hooking us up.
